I have textured the walls, roofs and even the plants in the garden. Placed them in definitive spaces, giving large space for contrast where stacks of hay, a cluster of blue spruce, and a wide road from the bottom ascends up into finally two narrow paths, one leading to a wheat field of gold off in the distance, the other to the houses and their gardens. Where mountains are seen off in the distance and still a blue sky. My idea came from Van Gogh’s “Memory of the Garden at Eden” a painting I have always respected, one I saw while visiting the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg.
